The Dickinson County Endowment Fund has announced grants totaling $84,648 were distributed in support of twenty non-profit organizations serving Dickinson County. Awards were made during the Annual Grant Celebration held at the Mini Wakan State Park Shelter on Big Spirit Lake.
DCEF Council Advisor Ann Ditsworth noted, “Dickinson County Non-profit organizations work hard to serve the many needs of our citizens and we’re happy to have the opportunity to support these positive impacts in our communities.”
The nine-member, DCEF Advisory Council includes community representatives from throughout Dickinson County. The 2016 Council includes: Cheryl Aumer – Milford, Donna Gould – rural Wahpeton, Steve Hansen – Terril, Everett Houge – Superior, Nancy Puhrman – Lake Park, Steve Schwaller – Okoboji, Brian Sohn – Spirit Lake, Betsy Tonsfeldt – Spirit Lake, and Ron Walker – Arnolds Park.
Dickinson County Endowment Fund awards grants in the areas of: conservation, economic development, family services, housing, natural resources, recreation, transportation and youth services.
