Who can qualify for a DCEF grant?
Charitable, non-profit groups and organizations [501(C)(3) or 170(b) units of government organizations] are encouraged to apply. A group lacking one of these designations may apply through a qualified fiscal agent. Minimum funding request is $500. Funds awarded by the DCEF must be used for civic, educational, public, charitable, patriotic or religious projects.
The DCEF will not support “for-profit” entities, annual campaigns, endowments or projects that do not serve Dickinson county residents.
How can our group or organization apply for a project grant?
Application materials are available by May 15th with completed applications due by June 30th. Awards are announced September 1st. Applications must include information on community need/benefit, project budget, applicant group’s ability to complete the project and any sources identified for partnerships or matching funds.
We require that all applications be completed using the current year’s fillable form. The documents will be in PDF format and can be filled in on-line, then printed off on your own computer.
